i can't believe it, as a young man here in belize who know the streets it is the first time i heard a grenade been trown at young boys on the street. i won't say i was surprise because i always heard talks about it, and even over heard some asked what kind of time they would spend for doing that. one thing i know for sure is that it will happen more if they don't make the penalty stiffer. they usaully say that we need to make sacrifices before they make a difference please mr prime minister you can jump in now we need you. our future is in shit you say you can make a big difference now you get ur chance do it.

But all fun and joke aside, it is so true what you are saying. I have a friend who just came from the States and all he does is talk about what he wears, and what he owned (past tense - his ass was deported), and how much money he spends in the clubs, and what he drove and he fucked so much girl in one building, and now all that shit means nothing, he just a regular ol Belizean driving a fucking taxi in the city.
Damn, dude i realized from a young age that all that shit means nothing, absolutely nothing, and these days you dont even need to brag to fuck these little skanks running around, i mean damn these young Belizean women are so easy to fuck these days its sad, dont even entice you anymore.

Why Belize man love run competition, if its not the hottest cell phone with services that are not available in belize then its the latest sneakers, or clothes. Fuck we so caught up in Vanity. I have heard a million & one conversations about "what I have, how I roll, when I am in LA or NY I got this, I meet that one or I fuck some NBA player girl blah, blah, blah..." Fuck!!! but according to the news their has only been one other incident like this before, in Cayo, i dont think anyone was hurt in that one, not sure.
But, it goes to show you that on the news the cops seem to be going just as out of control as the damn criminals, it is sickening what is happening in this country and i hope that it is coincidental that it is happening under Barrow's watch.
Before we can fix the problem we should definitely find the source, and a major part of the source is apathy.
No one in this country is taking drugs and guns on the streets really seriously, and trust me the major cause of all this shit happening is policy. If we change our policy we can make a change, as someone said take the profit out of the guns and drugs, legalize it and it will make a positive effect - it works in Amsterdam folks, it works.
