ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY

It is no doubt that the ultimate form of hypocrisy is religion. Take note that I said religion and not God. This invention as I prefer to refer to it as might be one of humankind’s greatest creations. So lets break it down, the most dominant religion in Belize is Christianity.
Supposedly founded on the principles and visions of Jesus Christ (J C as I like to call him), has probably done more evil in the name of J C than any other religion. Starting with immediate persecution of native people and actively partaking in slave trade, Christians have much to be proud of. My “God,” if it were not for them we would still be chanting gibberish to the God of Sun or Rain. They awakened us from our so-called Pagan practices which they themselves duplicated in other acquire members. Ever heard of a procession? Carrying a statue through the streets praying, sounds like something people in a cult would do.
This invention was able to recognize equality, justice for all, but persecuted those who did not share their views and up to this day still treat women as second class citizens within their elite hierarchy. These so called followers of J C rape and fuck the bible as if it was Paris Hilton, what’s next a xxx tape. This text is used to provide spiritual backing to their subjective views on issues ranging from sex, marriage, prayer, and livelihood. However before they use this text they always make sure that they emphasize the fact that it should not be taken literally but figuratively.
My question is how do we know what is to be taken figuratively and literally. For instance the bible says that a man should leave his mother and find a wife, have a family, go fourth and multiply or something to that extent. If we take this literally, all men are obligated to go fourth and multiply, and those who choose not to will be going against god’s will. SPEAK UP CATHOLIC PRIESTS AND NUNS. In a figurative sense this would mean that we are not obligated to go fourth and multiply which if taken up could lead to the extinction of humankind, as we know it.
I could go on for days about this topic, however I will offend many and create anger amongst my fellow Belizeans, which I want no part of. My basic sentiments in writing these comments are that no one should tell us how to think pray and live. Spirituality should never be classified by the subjective views of a few hence placing us in a box. Belizeans continue thinking out of da box.
