When they went to office in '98, they had a big job on their hands. That was to jumpstart a very depressed economy. That meant making huge investments and borrowing very big. Now where I differ with them is that they could have held some more consultations. They could have given more people to evaluate the feasibility of some their efforts. Perhaps we did not to go the way we went and ended up where we are today.

Belizeans are used to a certain quality of life and crave a quality they see on tv. we can only provide that by investments. The money has to be borrowed or we raise it here. There is only one way to do that, TAX. We cannot dismiss that the PUP has built most of what we know as Belize today. It has been a long struggle, a peaceful constructive one. It's everything I agree with but I certainly see a big difference between the UDP and the PUP, that is that the PUP are thinkers doers. The UDP wines. The task of leading a country and developing is one for real men and women, not for weenies.

Lastly, there are elements in the PUP that I can do without, those you mentioned and others. They are parasites who distort the peaceful constructive revolution.
