Site petitioning need to enforce capital punishment

If your theory is right: Capital Punishment = less crime; then I would agree with you that it should be re-instated. However, that theory has been proven wrong over and over. Those countries with capital punishment do not have a lesser crime rate. If it were so, you would not see all the gang violence and horrendous crime that happen everyday in the US.

The easiest solution is to 'crack necks'. But that those not deal with the underlying problem, and if the factors that are the catalysts for crime remain, it doesn't matter how many necks are cracked, crime will not go down.

I agree that capital puishment should be reinstated here in Belize. Our jail is getting crowded with repeat offenders and people committed more horrendous crimes. Killing has increased since capital punishment stopped and I don't see the situation getting any better. Only the thought of the consequences will detour most people from doing things they know are wrong. Where there is no appropriate punishment, crime will continue. I say, lets start cracking necks again or giving those lethal injections and watch the crime rate go down.

On the subject of capital punishment...
Supporting the death penalty is a dumb and illogical position to take. State killing should not even be considered because it is a hypocritical position.

How can you say killing is wrong, and then punish that person by killing them? This is insanity. What kind of example are you sending people with this? We all know that GOB is not GOD and it should NEVER be. Making murder illegal and then punishing law-breakers with state sanctioned murder is schizophrenic, contradictory and simply insane.

IF we really want to punish someone for crimes i agree with Road Fly, CasTration!! Any male boasting bigness and badness claims to be unafraid of death. But find me one male that would not run away from castration. They tremble! Even proven surgical procedures liek getting their tubes tied, men are afraid to do! Infact this is why there exists no market for a male birth control pill, the fuckers (literally) are deathly afraid of emasculation to the point of absurdity!

I predict that with teh introduction of castration as a punishment for severe crimes and abuses these same crimes and abuses would decrease rapidly and dramatically.

yeah, grep I agree with you and I am conflicted because of my frustration with the crime wave hitting Belize only to have the courts release them because of shabby police work or deliberate incompetence on the police end. Bahamas recently passed a flogging law for rape, so you do your time and you get lashes across your back. We should also consider castrating some of these fuckers, the guy that rape that little girl in Ladyville needs to be punished and I am not talking just jail time.

I know America is famous for having mainly poor blacks/hispanics on death row, but it also has a whole lot of millionaires in jail and the death penalty for rapist.

The instances high-lighted are atrocious, and those persons might be beyond help. However, what I was trying to get at, was that Capital Punishment affects mostly the poor. People still refuse to look at crime as a social problem, and think that just killing all the criminals will solve the issue. At the end, those who will suffer are the persons that do not have enough money to get a good defense attorney.

We should also look at our penitentiary system. They are supposed to be reforming the convicts, not just wasting our money. Something is obviously wrong with it.

Our police officers and public prosecutors are also incompetent. They can't seem to put behind bars those criminals that commit atrocious crimes(like be-heading and stealing tax-payers money by the millions).

I agree some of these sickos need to perish.

But still sometimes we have rabid dogs that need to be put down. This young man that allegedly beheaded the maid and allegedly executed the 2 people in Bermudian Landing is a perfect example. If the system convicts him then he needs to have a noose around his neck right after that. If the system continues to fail us and deny us justice then we will have more alleged Chester's Death Squads running around which eventually just turn into Murder, Inc. or Murder for hire groups.

Another example is the young man that was stabbed and his father a former police found his body. The 3 accused just were released because there was no case against them at this time. As a parent if my son is killed like that I would have to have my revenge...
