PLACENCIA CONFUSED

Man, do you believe what happened in the Placencia Village Council elections past! I heard that the past Chairman Brian Yearwood lost. Man, that's hard to believe! I've been in meetings with this guy and he really worked hard to do allot for that Village i.e., sanitation company creation, by-laws, land for the villages, sewer system etc. etc. I hear that he was in a constant battle with Area Rep Melvin Hulse. I hear Hulse put in (three days before election) the "Old" Chairman - Glen Eiley to run againt Yearwood and a PUP named Charles Leslie Jr. I hear this messed up UDP by spliting the red votes. Melvin - what a guy! Man that fucking guy Melvin needs to give it up and go spend some time with his grandchildren before he drops dead. I hear Yearwood was also fighting against some white foreigners who want to take control of Placencia $$. They even openly campaigned against him. I heard that the people of Placencia even backed the Whites against Yearwood. Man that's some fucked up shit!! Our own people are really lost! It seems like they (whites) wanted Yearwood out of the way so that they can call the shots. He did not allow them to control him I hear! I hear Yearwood was the only Chairman who had close contacts with the Cabinet Members to get anything done down there. Wow! What a shame. I thought he was the best Placencia every had. Atleast what i have seen. Now that he is out, I hear that the GOB has changed their minds and will not be giving Placencia their long sought after By-Laws that they needed. They had oked it for Yearwood. What do they expect? Yearwood had gotten the Government to approve the by-laws only for Placencia "first". Now they go and put in a PUP Chairman down there. Now they won't get anything! They voted out their best contact person. Man what the fuck are they thinking!! Now they want to stop the Government from allowing crews ships in with a PUP Chairman. Good Luck!! I think they should have thought about all this when they went Blue! Oh Well! Shit happens!
