Network Traffic Monitor - Internet

Hey guys, what do you all use to monitor network traffic, specifically internet traffic?
Ive tried a few, but none really give me the details im looking for. Specifically if there are trojans, viruses or adware using up bandwidth.
Any ideas?

Or ntop. If you firewall is running linux, you can download ntop and install it. It uses a web interface for viewing the results. You can view the amount of bandwidth being used by a specific user, the sites he visited, the frequency visited, the sites most visited by all users, etc. It's pretty nifty. You can get it at www.ntop.org. It is not an IDS like snort, so it won't notify you of attacks, but if all you want is to keep a record of sites visited by your users, it does the job. You have to read the manual tho. When you are talking about net-admin, you can't do anything without reading the manual. This isn't the matrix that just by thinking of the program you will upload all the knowledge into your brain :)

I will need some time to figure snort out.
But for the meantime im just looking for a quick fix...i will pursue the installation of snort tho...looks excellent, but i need to dedicated some serious time to that one.
