Two weeks ago Amandala issued a blatant threat to the Minister of Home Affairs, suggesting there was a conspiracy afoot (orchestrated by Ralph) to harm someone behind the zinc fence. Like I said then, I would not be surprised if someone was kidnapped/harmed, because the depths to which XMM (X, Mose and Mark) are willing to go is bottomless. Cordel is a hapless and unwilling tag-along, more in love with the ladies and the fortune than the power and the control. But the power and control, yes, the power and control, that is what XMM wants. And that is why XMM is so ashamed that all this while they have been fighting white supremacy and they were/are owned by a white supremacist. All this while, XMM have claimed to be the power brokers of the south side when in reality they have been but powerless pawns, subordinate suckers to Michael Ashcroft. So XMM is now lashing out. They see conspiracies everywhere they turn. The question they should be asking themselves is: how the fuck did we get punked? All power to the people.

Much like they are doing today the PUP back in their 89-93 term squandered and stole so much money. Remember Courtney et al, etc? Thus upon gaining office the UDP had no other option but to try to curtail on expenses so as to keep the country alive. In that spirit they did what they had to do, retrenchment. In effect their retrenchment was across the aboard and not along party lines. We all have to make sacrifices, my friend. The retrenchment was supposed to be a temporary solution until the government got back on its feet. They eventually did.

However, as soon as they succeeded, we Belizeans went out to the poll and voted them out because the PUP brainwashed us to think that the UDP's were heartless because of what they did. They obstructed our vision with eloquent presentations, knowing all along that they will get back into office and there would be revenue and even surpluses. I can recall being in the Belize Defense Force at the time '98 and explaining to my colleagues what was going to happen. To my surprise everything I told them has come to pass.

Today, we are in the same situation as '93. The country is broke and the PUP cronies have a lot of money in their pocket. Apparently, the UDP is the government in waiting. Again, they have to go in there and revive the economy but we the people are not willing to understand what is happening. The truth of the matter here is simple economics. If there is no capital the ultimate result is inflation.

Though away from the country right now (pursuing my grad and post grad degree) I am of the firm opinion and have always been, that the UDP is a better government when it comes to our economy, while the PUP is more for providing a facade of everything is good while they fill their pockets. In all honesty and truth in past I have voted for both PUP and UDP. However, I always voted for UDP in the general election while I returned the favor to the PUP in local election. I do not think PUP is a good national government. My reasoning is, while there are some honest PUP's most of them are crooks. For example: When Johnny was running for town board election in OW I voted for him. When he was running for national election I voted against him. I knew he had good intention but I also knew that Ralph Fonseca is another story so why give him (Ralph) the country in a silver platter. Johnny worked well while in the town board but Ralph and the other cronies have stolen from us while being the government.

Considering this, I do not consider myself to be with any specific political party. But from what I have seen, even if they thief, the UDP is not as crooked as the PUP.

Barrow is trying to paint himself as some kind of man of the people. He is laughing and chatting with Mose/Khalila and Ernesto/Carmen. His newspaper is running ads of him with a bullhorn - hardly a picture of humility and down-to-earth-ness, but they are trying. In reality, it is the same old Barrow, the man who insisted that the civil servants be fired; the man who created the SIS and the death squads; the man who called for civil unrest; the man who sold out his brother for political expediency; the man who has said he will take away people's land if and when he is elected; the man who has said he will not allow PUP-supporters to be in any government position; the man who keeps his current girl and young child locked away in a back apartment while he entertains in his mansion. Barrow may want to backtrack from violence, but his track record is a violent one. Belizeans don't want any part of Dean O, no matter how much makeup he puts on.

The House Thief Rufus openly insulted Cedric 'Million Dollar Man' Flowers, saying that Flowers, a black man with money and power, was worse than a white colonialist. I wonder what Rufus thinks of Dean Barrow, a wealthy power-hungry black man or even his boss and friend X, who certainly has his share of dough - though he does not think of himself of black, never has just pretends to in his writings. Anyway, Cedric took major offence and was about to charge across the table until X took a commercial break. All the while, the VIP Spokesman and certifiably insane Patrick Rogers left had mouth agape and his latest verbal tirade left his jaw tired and his brain in need of oxygen. You see, the conclave behind the zinc fence believe that they have the power - perhaps induced by their heavy weed smoking. They want PM out and will try anything to achieve this. Just today their operatives were spotted in Pinks Alley attempting to buy off the Majestic Crips to rise up against the PM. But the Crips told them to get the fuck out of their base. Check Channel 7 tonight, you'll see an interview or two made for UDP TV. But the question remains, how the Jules know to be there at that specific time? unless something drastic happens i dont forsee early elections. according to said he has a mandate and he sticking to it. he said the people elected him to fuck teh country for another 5 years and thats what he will do. look at it this way. oil money is still coming in, thers still a lot of land to give away to friends and family, passports and visas are still selling and money is still coming in from places like taiwan. the pup knows that they are going to lose the general elections and teh hierarchy is doing all in its powers to ensure that even tehir great grand children are born with silver spoons in tehir mouths. secondly they want to make sure that they leve belize so fuckin broke that it will be nearly impossible for another govt to bring things back to normal in a 5 year term, and in doing so they see themselves back in power in 5 years. cronies are being placed in strategic positions and most of our nationla patrimony is already int ehir hands so even with anotehr govt in power tehy will still be the ones running the show. at teh this point in time as bob marley said, " total destruction teh only solution". belize as we knew it is finished.

At the end of the day, the Prime minsiters has multiple opposition. He has Dean Barrow and the UDP's, The interim PUP's(Johnny, Cordel, Mark and Courtney), the Belizean people and last but not lease the "Koncas Fliers".

Having said that I think it will on the right and the modest thing to do is for the Prime Minister to call the elections immediately and save the Belizean populace pain anguish and overwhelming debt. In the end he is the only one who stands to suffer while he prolongs his stay in governement. People have ZERO confidence in him and on the front they can request/advise the Governer General to set a date for the Election.

Talking about the Governer General where was he when all this borrowing and destruction of Belioze was going on? Is he a "Musalite" or does he just not care about what is happening to our country? Musa needs to get the sense. Either resign or he will be forced out. Its only him who can choose which dose of the poison he is gonna take. All his lies have come to light and his days of being popular has come to pass.

In the Orange Walk and Corozal districts rumors started floating around late yesterday – rumors that Florencio Marin Sr. had been promised the Natural Resources portfolio for his last minute decision to support Prime Minister Said Musa in the ill fated UHS motion.

Other rumors pointed to other significant changes in the composition of Cabinet resulting from the political fall-out of Briceño’s opposition to the UHS motion.

Well, today Briceño was allegedly informed that his portfolio of Natural Resources and the Environment would be taken away and handed to Florencio Marin Sr. on a platter. The PM reportedly offered Briceño the portfolios of National Development and Defense instead.

Members of the Briceño camp in Orange Walk report that the DPM had made it clear that he was prepared to leave Cabinet rather than deal with petty political games.

And that basically sums up the Prime Minister’s version of damage control in what has become an era of political crisis. While there are those who will speculate, it is too soon to tell how these changes will affect an embattled People’s United Party.

I think this is a publicity stunt and a political victory for Johnny. If he had stayed in the current ship there is no way he could or would had been re-elected. Nonetheless with Said's own re-election bid looking kind of weak, Johnny will contest or remain as Deputy Leader then when Said is not re-elected he will emrge as the leader since he will be on of the only few PUP's to get re-elect. It's all a ploy folks. They see where there government has us Belizean and now after eight years they want none of it, while they sat there all along and watch us get to this point.
