How the fuck these guys won the election?

Pervious asked the question that although simple made me think back to their campaign. It should have given us a preview of what is to come. They paid artist to make the best songs, deh exploit some young belizean girls to shake their asses for entertainment and nuff dollar beer. Buay to think of it we sold ourselves really cheap this time. They whop most of us but that don't mean we should let them get away with it and all the stuff they are doing now. I hope we learnt enough and I don't think this will ever happen to us again.

number 4

don't forget:

4.) Caliente dancers -- who exploits women more than pup, hahaha hypocrites

Good Question PhilosiFly

not blue, sorry got distracted there, Or maybe some kind of a slip.

Good Question PhilosiFly

Of course this is just an opinion, but the middle class is more critical of government actions than the poor or rich. The poor can be bought for nothing, well in belize case either of the following:
1. fifty dollar bill torn in half get the next half after the election.
2. Cup of Beer.
3. Good Music, or a catchy tune.

Now the middle class is a couple of steps away from being poor, so they feel any changes in government first. Plus I would bet that our middle class is shrinking, and it's not because they are moving on up. Me being middle class would vote red, not

Majority

You don't have to be good or right to win anything. If you walk into a meeting with 30 supporters and there were only 30 people in the room prior to your arrival, you are almost guaranteed the majority of support. If you have a majority of the electorate that are unaware of the facts, unable to understand the issues or simply unwilling to care about the matters of the day, then you will have elected officials that do not seem to represent the wishes of those in the 'know'. Unfortunately it tends to be the poor people that fall into this category of those that are unaware. These same poor people are not thought of after the elections have past. On the other end of the social spectrum, we have the 'haves', they have the money, have the education, have the information. Many of the people that fall into this section are very much concerned with keeping what they have or getting more so they kiss up to a party in hopes of keeping what they got. There are those that fall in the middle, those that want to be rich, so they strive to gain and in hopes of becoming rich, they edge up to a party. It's all about money, it's all about greed. The poor are thinking about that short term greed of getting something for free or maybe a few handouts in the weeks before the election. The middle class bourgeasie that wish to become rich are greedy for those riches that have eluded them. And of course the rich that have what they have and want to make sure that they keep what they have and to get more. If an election was held and only the middle class were allowed to vote, whom you think would win?

DESPERATE

THESE GUYS WOULD HAVE DONE ANYTHING IN THEIR CAPACITY TO WIN. DON'T YOU SEE? HAD THEY NOT WON, THIS WHOLE MESS WOULD HAVE BEEN UNCOVERED EARLIER AND A FEW LEGAL PROCEEDINGS WOULD BE UNDERWAY!!!

Broken Laws?

It's a bit difficult to say wether they broke any laws while making their backroom deals. Bottom line is if any laws were broken, then they have to answer for it. Mis-management of money, or seemingly stupid decisions are not a crime. Not to say, that is what they are doing. These guys are smart, remember Said is a lawyer, he knows when he is breaking laws. Every decision they have probably made has some loophole in it, im sure it will be very difficult to prosecute anyone.

As to re-electing this crew of pirates, I say ofcourse not. But who are we going to put in their place?

Dean? While I have nothing personal against the guy, nothing about him proves to me that he has the capacity to run this country. Especially, the crew he carries behind him, I have heard some of his people speak, and im not impressed.

A breakaway set from the PUP and UDP would fall into place beautifully right about now, depending ofcourse on who those people are, New blood is good, but not too green, nobody will trust them.

"this is not revenge but punishment"

I agree

I rememner one time Richardson and Goldson went to jail and they didint steal millions. This set needs to be brought up on charges. But you know whats true, its sets the precedent for future prosecutions, if our new government dont have true intentions they will not charge anyone, its too risky. They run the risk of being prosecuted if they screw up.

"I wan FUCK UP uno Black Cake"

Next Election.....

yo spinning, (or anyone else) what do you think will happen next election...will the PUP win or lose? one could argue that the PUP has f**ked up this country royally and shouldnt be re-elected into office. at the same time, someone else can say, well thing can't possibly get any worse and they should be made to clean up their mess so we should re-elect them. these are two extremes. i personally believe that we need a change in government and that new gov. should bring up our previous leaders on criminal charges so their wreckless and irresponsible behaviour does not go unpunished. what do you think should be done about this???
