disaster in belize city

there is a big disater in china and burma but here in belize we have a big disaster also that is killing off our youths it is gang violence. we as a community needs to figure out what we can do to get back our country back. i have a silly idea it wont take off all the guns off the street but i know it will take off a lot. i was thinking off doing a program like this. first bring back a big time artist that the youths love. them give away money and tennis shoes for guns. or the guns for money progarm but this time mre money for guns.that would work for sure cause if i had a gun and they gave me $400 i would gladly take the money, but our problem is that the people with money dont want to give to these programs. but take it from me when the problem reach their door they would be glad to. the have not will only come to the laves an get what they want remember that.do something with your money hire a youth and save ur self.

It's another case of treating symptoms not the underlyeing ailment. A decent handgun will cost you 900us hate to think what they cost here. But if you rasie the amount of cash for the buyback, It might be worth smuggleing in some cheap ass saturday night speicals which can be had for under a 100 US and if you don't think crimanals will think of that your wrong.
To "solove the problem" you have to first identify it, then the reasons for it. Okay you state the problem is viloence.
reasons for it:
1 More money in drugs than straight work.
2 High cost of liveing.
3 Poverty
4 Lack of alternatives.
possible answers.
1 Legalize it and tax it, take the profit out.
2 Lower duties and taxes.
3. Create jobs.
A. Lower the cost of doing biz to attract industry. Ie fuel, power, communications. We recent lost the liberty plant for those reasons. If the gov did the things to make industry profitable here it would come, we have so many advantages.

400 for a gun?
If you are giving up a gun for 400 then obviously you had no intent on using the gun. Those with guns and using it, would not give it up or they would, then go buy a better one.
