Corozal Prepares to Rock!

The sleepy border town of Corozal is maybe one of the last places you'd expect to hear about an explosion of loud, aggressive and fierce rock music. But that's just what's happening with a concert planned for this weekend where three metal and alternative bands will be letting out thick slabs of guitar driven rock music. Concert organizer, Victor Vasquez explains.

“We want to do something different in Corozal based on the fact that it’s something new to Corozal. There is not really a big market for music in Corozal. If there is a market it would be minimal or non-existent. It is something that we wanted to expand our horizons, if you will, and try to get a feel of what it is to have 20 or so people at the place, its usually just a group of diehard friends but basically we are trying to do this for fun.”
The concert is on Saturday night at Naito's Place in Corozal Town.
