I've dated both. Caribbean men are sexier, but that is about as far as it goes. I think that because of the lifestyles and struggles that Caribbean men have gone through, they cant get out of that "struggle" mentality. Even though they have opportunity here, they haven't lived the American lifestyle. Which means that if you are an American girl...you better be strong and patient. American men do take life for granted alot. I wish that Caribbean men would just relax and enjoy life. The real difference and I am speaking as a Belizean man is that I want my potato salad potato boiled with the skin on, I also like tomatoes in my egg and of course I want my brief and undershirt press/iron.

this goes for both: they lie and cheat a lot. they're too easily snowed by a pretty face, think they're making all the decisions when, in reality, any pretty girl has it all over them. That's not attractive because it's just dumb.
I do think Caribbean guys are tougher generally and more independent because they're not so spoiled. American guys throw money around more, which I suppose most women might like, but it just seems ostentatious to me, like they think they can buy women -- please... I think American guys cheat as much as Caribbean guys, but they lie about it more because they know they won't get away with being too blatant about it.
Caribbean guys, for me, are more sexy because they live crazy harsh lives in the sunshine and tend to stay thinner -- very generally speaking -- and brown, which I loooove, and because they're more independent.
