BTL Say no rebates!
"Managing Director John Vondras said they have considered it and there will be no rebates. Vondras explained that like a hurricane, the network failure was beyond their control. To which we will add the riposte that a hurricane is a natural disaster, but not having a communication's backup, well that's just poor corporate planning." From 7News!
Well John, the network failure was not a natural disaster, even though it was beyoud BTL's control, BTL is still to blame. Why? Being a Multi-million dollar company and the only ISP and Telephone company is the country, adding the most profitable at that, a company that magnitude should have a redundant telecommunication system.
Also passing a comment like, "not having a communication backup, well that's just poor corporate planning" its just a shameful way out of it. BTL should bow their heads in shame.
But of course the real reason why there are no rebates is because Jeff needs are the hard working Belizean's money he can get his hands on to pay is law suits. He said so himself, when he committed BTL to pay his legal bills.
GET ready Belize for higher phone rates.

Wasnt expecting any
well like everything else in belize, we the consumers usually end up with the short end of the stick, wait that was a bad way to put it. we the consumers usually get FUCKED, yeah thats much better, and monopoly utility companies though not as harsh as our own elected officials, still leave their marks on our asses. lets say ur water, phone or power bills become delinquent, tehy wont hesitate to shut it off and require fees in order to reconnect. so how is it that when for example theres a power outage or water failure we dont get compensated for that. hell its not our fault, we're paying for a service and we expect that motherfucker to be available at all times, the same way that the companies expect payment at the end of the month. but its our own faults. as belizeans we werent raised in a violent manner, and as a people never experienced hard times, well those times are coming, the questions is whether we will wait for our country to be flushed down the shitter or will we come together and stand for what we believe in, love, and cherish, Belize.
