Belizean Music you want start looking in the district. you got a lot of modern music local artist "original and with their own style" out there. for example Belizean Entertainment out in Cayo. they create thier own riddims and put thier original lyrics on them.

I am certainly not knocking our local artists but I believe that our younger artists need to start appealing more to the tastes of the younger generation. R and B, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Pop, and Rock are the universal language of the 18-30 age group. No matter what language, race, or culture, young people share the same feeling when you put on that Sean Paul, Linkin Park, or 50 Cent CD. We have so many aspiring and talented young artists who may just be the next P.Diddy, Britney Spears, or (my personal favorite) Avril Levigne if given the chance. Look how Elephant Man, Kevin Little, and Rupee are now rocking up MTV! We and our Caribbean neighbors have been listening to them for years and news of their remarkable talent has finally broken on the international scene. To all you aspiring young artists- don't let anyone put you down by saying that Belizeans only listen to punta rock and soca and that nobody wants to hear your Americanized, "white people", or ghetto music. Just see how they react when it is you performing on TRL!!
