The statement that all men are dogs only continue to exist because we have repeated it so many times that it has become a "stylized fact" even though it has no basis in reality. Do men cheat on women, their wives and girlfriend? Yes they do. Do women cheat on their husbands and boyfriend? Absolutely yes. When men cheat, it is almost always with another women (unless he goes gay-which we exclude from this discussion for now). When men cheat, it is with a woman. IF a man is a dog for that, what do we call that woman he cheated with? When women cheat, they cheat with a man. Since she is doing the cheating, is the man still a dog? This popularized slang is only good for man bashing but it has no real basis at all. But why dog? why not bull or cat? Why not a pigeon? It is intended to evoke ire and so dog is preferred.
We, men and women, are all the same. Men just like women get that "funny feeling in yout stomach" when you get a hint that some connection might have been made. That of course is normal. There are no guarantees in life and if you don't want to be in a relationship then that decision is yours to make. We "hook-up" with some one because we believe that their is something there that is beneficial to us. There is something that is contained only in a relationship that we are after. This is both by choice and by nature.
If you choose to engage in a relationshop, as a thinking person of course you will look for signs compatibility or you should. If you go head on without thinking through what you are getting into, if you get burned, you have only yourself to blame. Sometimes of course that thing called love makes you go totally bonkers. Even then, your "bad" experience teaches you what to and not to expect. Most people end up in a stable relationship at the 3rd or 4th one.
In this life you take risks. Sometimes you can control somethings and others you have very little influence over. It's your life, live it and enjoy your relationship because your girl is not a bitch and your guy is not a dog. RESPECT...

every time i was hungry i'd be the size of a house! Most girls monitor their diets impulsively. For instance if we believe that we have overeaten on a particular day perhaps due to a party or other social event, we will make up for the excessive caloric intake by starving ourselves for the next couple days.

See, most guys are like dogs: guys eat when they’re hungry, they get happy over the simplest things and they leave their crap everywhere. Girls, on the other hand, are like cats. We have this grooming ritual that takes forever, you don’t know what we're thinking half the time (Is she happy? Sad? Mad? And why is she staring at me like that?) and we can go off and scratch you for some unexplained reason, especially right before that time of the month.

There are no guarantees in life. Yeah, it would be good if we could predict the future. Since we can't do that, you have to set some parameters for yourself.
First, you must know what you want out of a relationship. Then you have to realize that no one is perfect. Do not look for perfection in a mate. Spend as much time as you can with that person, without committing to anything right away. You will know when its time to take it to the next level. At the end of the day, we're all just taking a chance in relationships.

u did the right thing - NEVER settle for 2nd best. Trust this from a girl who spent five long years putting up with far less than she was worth. It'll hurt but you'll get over it.
